Black, OK dark tan foam head on pour, halo and OK surface retention with OK lacing. Smoked cocoa aroma, with a hint of vanilla. Similar, bit ashtray, taste and a dry cocoa after. Velvety.

Black. Some tan head as poured, OK halo and some surface retention with some loose lacing. Cocoa cream aroma. Similar taste - creamy chocolate - and a drier similar after. Bit creamy, like dissolving a block of indifferent chocolate on your tongue.

Deep ruby. Some tan head as poured, halo and some surface retention with solid lacing. Chocolate, vanilla, hint of roast/smokiness, aroma. White chocolate taste, lasting vanilla after. Flat. Promised a lot with initial appearance and aroma, but a bit vague to really stick the landing. New Brewery!

Red black. Some tan head as poured, with good retention and some solid lacing. Dark roast, bit bramble fruit, aroma. Similar taste and bit burnt after. Flat and disappointingly wet.

Black. Little light tan head as poured, but good halo and some surface retention. Initial strong marshmallow aroma, later coffee. Coffee taste, chewier marshmallow after. (Turns out, I've not long had this one, too.)

Black. Very large tan head on pour, with good retention, loose lacing and some layering. Chocolate malt, bit Tonka-rubber, aroma. S[mores! Chocolate and marshmallow, also biscuit, taste and after. Makes me happy.
