Black. Little light tan head as poured, halo and central surface retention with very loose lacing. Red fruit birthday cake aroma, developing spit/melon. Fruitcake taste, icing and marzipan after. Lighter than expected for 10.8%, but some heft and little tingly bubbles.

Very black. Some dark tan foam head on pour, with a thin halo and extremely little lacing. Dark chocolate, vanilla aroma, developing coconut. Rich, dark chocolate and vanilla taste, almost cherry menthol Tunes after. Viscous, with sharp bubbles. Why did I have this first? (I mean ‘because that’s how random selection works’, but …) Sesh can only be down hill from this, surely?

Black. Some dark tan crema head as poured, with very good retention and layering, and good lacing. Dark roast coconut (‘desiccated’ rather than Bounty or Malibu) aroma. Viscous, vanilla, coffee, macaron ... gonna have to say ‘cakey’ despite the name... taste and after. Hint of spice?

Black. Little tan halo as poured, with little to no retention or lacing. Nutty, roasty, molasses/brown sugar aroma. Viscous, Nutella taste, creamy chocolate/coffee (?) after. Good 'legs' / staining left in glass.
