Black. Very good tan head on pour, with good retention and lacing. Rich, nutty, boozy aroma, almond-sweet under, developing an almost tobacco smoke and leather aroma. Tiny sharp bubbles. Slightly harsh (maybe just too cold?) syrupy Stout taste, smoother but slightly chemical / artificial almond after. Improves a bit as it warms, less harsh and chemically, but still a bit disappointing - expected more from style, and brewery.
