Black. Very large tan head on pour, ¾ halo and some surface retention with very little lacing. Slightly emulsion, chocolate coconut aroma. Richly creamy coconut and chocolate taste, peppery tingle on the lips, fudgey after. Fudgy texture.

Black. Very good tan head as poured, with very good retention. Dark chocolate and caramel aroma. Similar taste and after, plus orange oil. Surprisingly thin.

Red black. Little dark tan head as poured, very little retention and no lacing. Doughy cocoa aroma, more cake than muffin (‘denser’, I guess?). Blueberry taste, chocolate frosting after. Oddly thin and weightless.

Black, with some tan head as poured. Cinnamon frosted pastry aroma. Rich, slightly fruitcake spice, taste, drier similar after. Tiny bit viscous, with some soft effervescence.

Black red. Very large dark tan head on pour, little surface retention and very little lacing. Dark chocolate, cherry syrup, hint of pastry aroma. Cherry astronaut ice cream taste, rich, dark chocolate, creamy after. Creamy thick.

Mini Battenberg - Yonder

Black. Very good tan head on pour, with some retention and loose lacing. Initial almond/marzipan aroma, cakey sweet in close, with a Stout-like heft. Marzipan, apricot jammy, sponge cake taste, similar after with slight dry icing sugar lasting. Some creamy effervescence, but still unfortunately watery. Why does this feel … bad?. It’s at least OK on all fronts, and actually good on some, but feels like a disappointment, like I’m angry at it for not being excellent…

Black. Good dark tan foam head on pour, but only thin halo and little surface retention, with some loose lacing. Coffee, tonka bean, warm vanilla aroma. Similar taste, bit carrot cake spiced and dry (as in, no liquid) cocoa coffee after. Tingles on the tongue, more like spice than effervescence.

Black. Very good off-white head on pour, with good retention and very good lacing. Strong initial marshmallow / nougat aroma, cherry and digestive biscuit in close. Rocky Road ice cream, albeit the freeze dried kind, taste and a stronger bitter chocolate after.

Scoopy Doo - Yonder

Black. Good dark tan head on pour, but little halo or surface retention and little to no lacing. Strong initial apple pie filling aroma, drier pastry under. Apple pie, specifically Mr. Kipling's, taste and after. Creamy in texture, perhaps, not so noticable in flavour.
