Pitch black. Large, very dark tan foam head on pour, little to no halo retention with no lacing but some staining on the glass (like whisky 'legs' but darker and solid). Cakey aroma, dark chocolate and vanilla, with tart raspberry jam under. Thick, vanilla cakey, rich chocolate taste, dry raspberry after.
