Quality: 66, Enjoyability: 68, Overall: 67
Black. Extremely extra large tan head on pour, dispersing some, with a thin halo and OK surface retention, but little lacing. Deep, roast, savoury, smoke, bit molasses/treacle aroma. Some treacle/roast malt taste, stronger after. Oddly thin in the mouth - not thin-thin, but much thinner than I’d expect for ABV and aroma, but with a thicker lasting afterfeel.
