Quality: 64, Enjoyability: 59, Overall: 61.5
Red black. Thin dark tan halo as poured, with no retention but extremely little loose lacing. Molasses rum aroma, with an under of bourbon oak. The bourbon stops the rum being too cloying, and the rum knocks the sharper edges off the bourbon. Could both stand to be a bit stronger, though. Similar taste and after, maybe a bit TOO balanced? Could use a bit more oomph at 11%. Some heft, but again less than expected.
