Black, with little to no light tan head as poured. Rich roast malt, bit boozy, aroma. Similar taste and after, faint hint of Rum bozziness.

Black. Very good tan head on pour, with good retention and lacing. Rich, nutty, boozy aroma, almond-sweet under, developing an almost tobacco smoke and leather aroma. Tiny sharp bubbles. Slightly harsh (maybe just too cold?) syrupy Stout taste, smoother but slightly chemical / artificial almond after. Improves a bit as it warms, less harsh and chemically, but still a bit disappointing - expected more from style, and brewery.
