Red black. Some tan head as poured, with little retention or lacing. Sticky toffee pudding aroma – rich, deep, toffee, hint of fig/date. Similar but much lighter taste, smooth similar after. More caramel than toffee, and a bit light for Sticky Toffee Pud.

New Leaf by Vocation positive

Quality: 70, Enjoyability: 69.5, Overall: 69.75

Black. OK dark tan head as poured, with some surface retention and OK to good lacing. Dark roast, almost burnt, coffee aroma, sweeter, chocolatey, under. Cadbury’s Caramel with a hint of Biscoff taste, more strongly caramel after. Slightly viscous, with tiny sharp bubbles. Not sure if I’ve had Matcha before, don’t know how this compares.

Wobbly Bob by Phoenix Brewery neutral

Rated on 2025-06-30 by BeerDorkNik at Richard John Blackler

Quality: 55, Enjoyability: 50.5, Overall: 52.75

Murky amber brown. Some light tan creamy head as poured, with very good retention and solid lacing. Sweet, fruity malt aroma. Caramel malt taste, chocolatey similar after. Effervescent creaminess. However: clears a lot as it settles, taking a lot of the body, flavour and even, oddly, aroma with it. Stuff in bottom of glass – end of barrel sediment?
