Black. Extremely large dark tan head on pour, with very good surface retention but very little lacing. Strong initial slightly gassy maple coffee aroma, mellower creamy vanilla up close. Thick, creamy maple vanilla taste, with a slightly burnt coffee after.

8000! Black. Very good tan head on pour, dispersing, nor retention or lacing. Deep, woody, cocoa-booze aroma. Similar cocoa taste, smooth after, with a creamy building heat. Silkily rich. Oh hey, ‘H’ is the 8th letter, for 8000th beer. Neat.

Black. Little light tan head as poured, halo and central surface retention with very loose lacing. Red fruit birthday cake aroma, developing spit/melon. Fruitcake taste, icing and marzipan after. Lighter than expected for 10.8%, but some heft and little tingly bubbles.
