Cloudy orange gold. Large creamy head, dispersing, OK surface retention and semi solid lacing. Tannic orange peel aroma. Similar taste, bitter orange blossom/marmalade after. Silky. Not very ‘Bright’ (per the pump clip), but new barrel was quite active, apparently, so may be clearer and smaller head usually.

Marmalade Ale by Peerless neutral

Rated on 2026-02-04 by BeerDorkNik at Welkin

Quality: 55.5, Enjoyability: 52, Overall: 53.75

Hazy amber gold. OK creamy head as poured, with good surface retention and loose, streaky lacing. Faint, bitter citrus aroma. Similar, jammier, taste and after, developing a bitter-rind lasting. Fuzzy. Might’ve said ‘Marmalade’ unprompted, but it’s not very strong.
