A Problem Shared (MAYDAY Project collab) by Brew York positive

Rated on 2024-04-27 by BeerDorkNik at That Beer Place, Chester

Quality: 62, Enjoyability: 65, Overall: 63.5

Rich gold. OK head as poured, halo and little surface retention with some lacing. Fruity aroma, sawdust pine resin under. Similar, peppery, taste and after. Possibly a multi-brewery collaboration, or maybe the list was just the breweries taking part in the MAYDAY project. Mum and Twinnies seemed to like the place, so maybe we'll all be back. (I will definitely be back.)

50 Shades of Babylon by Sureshot Brewing positive

Rated on 2024-09-11 by BeerDorkNik at BrewDog, York

Quality: 56.5, Enjoyability: 62, Overall: 59.25

Opaque lemon. Little head as poured, halo and some surface retention with good lacing. Dry, pulpy fruit, bit ?peppery? aroma. Soft, almost creamy, semi-tart citrus taste, soft pine sawdust after, with pine sawdust reflux (i.e. burps).

Opaque dark lemon, or pale orange. Large head on pour, dispersing, with some surface retention and OK lacing. Strong initial fruity sawdust resin aroma, bit soapy floral in close. Fruit, dry, bit gum taste and after. Slightly gummy texture, with very little soft effervescence.
