Raspberry red. Some head as poured, with little retention and very little lacing. Tart, floral, hibiscus fruity aroma. Similar taste, thick with deep raspberry, and after. Soft effervescence. (Syzygy, incidentally, is a ‘roughly straight-line configuration of three or more celestial bodies in a gravitational system’, like an eclipse, basically.)

Purple fruit smoothie. Large clumpy purple head as poured, with OK retention and clumps rather than lacing. Tart, plummy fruit aroma. Thick, creamy, fleshy fruit taste and after.

Yellow orange with a sediment haze. Very large, slightly yellow head on pour, with good retention and good, if loose, lacing. Slight fruity-sweet aroma. Thick, citrus malt, bit tannic, taste and after. Viscous. Bit pulpy – sediment, not effervescence.

Black. Good dark tan head as poured, halo and good surface retention with good lacing. Dark roast, Marmite, malt aroma. Dark malt, treacle, vanilla taste and after. Viscous. Got 1/6 free as a sample!
