Hazy light amber, with OK head on pour. Fruit tannin malt aroma – hint of cigars, but I think that’s a guy at the next table rather than the beer. Tannic fruitcake taste and after. Bit syrup

Hazy straw gold. OK head as poured, with good halo and surface retention and OK lacing. Light, slightly syrupy, lemon pith aroma. Similar taste, drier after. Haven't been here in years, and that was mostly later and louder. Nice place, when you can get a seat and enjoy it. (OK, it might also have been cleaned up a bit since my student days...)

Hazy red-gold, with some head on pour. No further description, as it was a bit non-descript - I took so long trying to find SOMETHING to say about it, I finished it, and couldn't remember what it was like.

Gold. Good creamy head as poured, with OK retention and good lacing. Soapy, floral aroma, hint of biscuit? Similar taste, honey after. Been here, many years ago, (9.5ish, in fact!) and it hasn't really changed. Down a back alley, very traditional, bit of a locals pub perhaps, big dog wandering round. Nice enough, but not wher I'd want to spend an entire night.
