Quality: 62.5, Enjoyability: 63, Overall: 62.75

Faintly red, dark gold mead, sharp white wine aroma giving way to richer honey. Sharp apple crispness, slightly sour, with faint sweetness and a honey-thick texture and a richer, but not cloying, sweet after. taste becomes less sharp-sour when warmer.

Light amber mead, faint tea and playdough (? Slightly almond-marzipan?) aroma. Warm, somehow wholesome, taste with deep honey, more honey in after. Honey becomes more noticable as it stands - not warms, as such, just is allowed to stand. Deceptively drinkable for 12.6%

bottled 24/4/12. Nice enough, but I'd hoped it'd develop more character than this...
